Automatically, WordPress will create a category page that shows a list of all the posts that belong to that category. This is okay, but if you want to take your SEO game to the next level, you'll want to optimize your category pages to make them more interesting for search engines (and more useful for your audience so they can find your best content).
These are called SILO pages.
To make this as easy as possible, we've added pre-designed SILO landing pages to Shapeshift. All you need to do is customize the copy and filter the post lists. We did all the heavy lifting for you.
And of course, we also made it extremly easy to change the default wordpress category link to this newly created SILO landing page, without coding or having to add another plugin to your site.
Simply go into your WordPress dashboard >> Posts >> Categories >> Redirect Category to Page and put the URL of your SILO page there.
